WELLINGTON. January 26. The White Star liner lonic arrived from London to-day with nearly 700 passengers on board, of whom 549 were in the third-class. - Of the third-clast. passengers 395 wore assisted immigrants. One hundred of the total passengers wore children. According to declarations made to tho High Com-, missioner in London, tho immigrant-, come amply provided with capital, out of them bringing £_.000, and anothci declares an income of £800 a year. Tho occupations are described as farmers 78, farm labourers 2-3. domestic servants 51, and dairymen, gardeiieu.. fi and housekeepers. Twen-ty-five husbands already in the Dominion will be re-joined by their wires who have come out in the lonic.
