RIFLE SHOOTING.
CHRISTCHURCH, DEFENCE BIPLE CLUB. The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club held a competition at 800 and 900 yards on January 21st and 23rd, ten shots at each range. This was the first long distance match of the' season. Rifleman Kcnnie, with 91, showed steady, consistent shooting, and Rifleman Bowrmg's 48 at 900 yaras. was a bri.liont performance. The Sydenham Rifles Ladies Miniature Rifle Club commenced a competition on Wedn.sd.y lust, consisting of five matches, four to count. The following are tho scores: —
