An oxtremely heavy downpour or rain, fell at Napier last night, but no danvape is reported. At Waipawa inoeamtt rain during the last twenty-four houm caused a flood in the river and the lowlying country to be submerged. Miner damage to bridges it also reported. The weather is now clearing.
