Hammond and Co. (Mr Cuningham) v. A. 'Thomas, claimed £o l'.s 5d under a judgment summons. The Magistrate, alter hearing the debtor's statement, declined to make an order.

F. J. P. Horn (Mr Donnelly) claimed 12s 6d (value of a duck) from B. P. Manhiro. Defendant had a duck in his possession which plaintiff claimed as hi.s property. Defendant stated that he bred tho duck. His Mifo M-as of opinion that he bought tho duck, and his son was not quite sure how tho duck came into his father's possession. The .Magistrate said that tho evidence M-as all in favour of plaintiff, and ordered tho duck to bo returned Mithin 48 hours. Ho assessed its value at ss.
