COALGATE SALE.
On Friday, at the Coalgate sale, the yarding of sheep and lambs consisted of a tout 1300, those in tho fat pen numbering 736. Lambs accounted tor 280, nearly all being of medium quality end weight, while th© others wero Tight and little better than stores. There were a feiv light-weight wethers, fat crossbred ewes and merinos yarded. In the store pens, wethers formed the bulk, tho balance being lambs, and crossbred ewes in lamb. There was a medium attendance, and there was fair competition for all classes, though two or three lines failed to reach owner's ideas of value. Fat lambs sold at from Its Id to lis 4d (a few wero pssed at auction at 15s); light, unfinished lis to 12s; light-weight wethers los 3d to 16s od; fat crossbred' ewes 8s 6d to lis lid: merino wethers 8s; two-tooth crossbred wethers 12s 4d to 13s lid. All ewes in lamb wero withdrawn, 18s 3d l>eing ofiered for a line of twotoot lis.
