Th© last mooting of th© Springs Road Board was attended by Me.sis Wolfe, Kimber. Andrews, nnd Murray. Mr Wolfe was re-elected chairman. Correspondence was read from the Selwyn County Council, stating that, as requested, the Council Ii- tl paid tb© £100, due by this Board htcspital and Cnaritab© Aid fo: the p. year from the allocation fund; from the. sam© forwarding copies of special orders levying the Hospital, Charitable, nnd Small Birds rates for the current year, vi_., 7-64thand l-24thof a penny 'in. tho £ respectively, and requesting that it should be paid monthly as collected. It was resolved that tiie rates which together wer© upwards of £100 more than last year should b© collected with the general rate, and .paid in twelve monthly instalments, as required. Notice of intention to levy a general rat© of 9-16 th of a penny in th© £ was given, and in accordance with n special order from the Waimakariri River Board a rate of l-04th of a penny in th© £ on that portion of the River district comprised in th© Springs district. Accounts for £95 0s lOd wore passed.
