The last meeting of the Woolston Borough Coujicil was attended by:— The Mayor, Counoilloni Beaumont, Shorwood.- Round, Cooksley, Baker, Bail and Ozaoine. (3;. That the clerk had boon authori*od to arrange for the raising of the foothpath in Clarendon Ten-ace. The report Ava.-> adopted., Iho liospital Board notified a levy of £69 12s for hospital purposes, and £10 5s fox Bottle Lako Hospital. The Woolston School Committee wrote asking tho Council to acquire a suitable piece of land for a recreation f round. Consideration was deferred, 'ho clerk was instructed to apply to tho Public Trustee for a piece of land on which no rates have boon paid tor years. The heavy traffic by-law was again considered, and it wru> decided to liold a special meeting to .pass a special order nvuking the by-law.
