Tlie Stunner Borough Council met on Tucealuy night, when Councillor De-nham presided in the abaonce of tJie Mayor. Mr S. 0. Unwin wrote, asking that something might ho done to regulate tho Kpeodi of motor cars in> ttumnor. Recently, in order to avoid, a collision with tv motor «kit ho r«ai into a tram car aaid damaged lur trap. Tho letter was referred to tho By-Laws Committee Cr. Denham aaid that bylaws were being framed to meet tho difficulty. Tho Acting Inspector of Police wrote, stating that tho Council's request to have representations made to the Bench that heavier i>oll aJtiee should be imposed on owners of wandering stock would U> complied with. The totter was received.

Tho Hon. Secretary of tho Summer Burgesses' Association wrote, stating that hie Assucietion heartily supported the OouncO'e efforts to procure a moro suitable tram service for t'ho Borough. It was .resolved to hold tho matter over until the next meeting of the Council. The Works Committee, in thoir report, reoommended that a reply should Iro sent to Mr 11. M. Morten's attorney's request that the Council should accept dedication ot tho Scarborough Road, stating that tho Council could not consider tho question of accepting dedication of the Scarborough Roaduntil tho whole of tho work had been completed in accordanoo with specifications.

The Lighting Committee, in their report, reoom mondied that several street Lamps should be placed in., positionis specified.
