ST. JOHNS, WOOLSTOX. Tho annual meeting of pnrishionors of St. John's Church. Woolston. was held in tho parish room on >Vedncftd-iv, and was well attended. The R«v. \\. 11. Orbell, vicar, was in the chair. The vicar presented his report concerning the work of the parish since ho I took chargo last Ile'rei ferred to tho falling off in tho ati-eu- | danco in some directions and a considerable increase in others. J frewern ; vestry, Messrs Howos, Wright, Harris, Luwington, Dryelen, 11. lieivern, J. Cooper, \Yas.>, Cookson and Parsons. Tho question of attending t-o the roof of the church which leakedbadly in the recent rain was diw.ssvd; It was resolyetl that every effort bo made to repajr it as it was*generally felt that the hiiil:ling \v;:s liarVllv worth any heavy expenditure, and iliat anything that might be .sp.'iit in i-n; direction should be on a perr.i'i'.Hiit structure. A motion in favour of allowing women to you- at annual meetings was carried, with the request that it bo brought before th-o Synod by the loc;;l representative in that bndv. After several votco of thanks bad been j passed tho meeting closed with tho benediction. Refreshments wore then I handed round, and a fo-.v musical se.lecn j tions were given.
