MR KEIR HARDIE.
. • (PRISB ASSOCIATION TELEGRAU.) DUNEDIN. January 9. Mr Keir Hardie arrived in Dunedin to-night, and was received by repro serotatives of tho Labour bodies. Hβ addressed a largo mooting in tho AJhambra Theatre, spoaking for an hour on tho labour movement amd labour conditions generally in Great Britain. Hβ was accorded' a hearty vote of tharnks. To-morrow night Mr Hnrdie tvill address a meeting of miners at Kaitangata. Whern Mr Keir Hardio vras' passing through Ashiburton by the first express south vestqrdajy morning, the Mayor (Mr Henry Davis) met him on the platform, and extended him a hearty welcome. During tho course of an informal chat, the Mayor pointed out to Mr Hardio the principal amd immediately surrounding .features of the town, including Baring square on the left and tho beautiful Domain on the right, just across the railway line. Mr Hardie expressed himself ns favourably impressed with what he could see of the tou-ii', and referring to Baring square, said he was >g};id to bee that provision was made for breathing spaces in the town.
