MR REDMOND'S STATEMENT
MR O'BRIEN IN REPLY
United Press As.<=ociation—-By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 4. Mr O'Brien describes as an absolute untruth the statement that he made proposals to transfer to a committee of three the arrangements in connection with the meeting of the Irish Parliamentary party and the Nationalist Directory. Ho explains that he proposed that tho Directory alone should convene the meeting, but that with a view to commanding tho confidence of all sections the mechanical arrangements to carry out tho Directory's regulations should bo entrusted to three secretaries. Mr "O'Brien adds that he merely suggested the names of Mr Harrington, Mr Delvin, and Father Clancy, two of whom represent Mr Redmond's own party. Mr Redmond's objections have been invented sinco then for tho purpose of extracting himself from a dilemma.
