COMMONWEALTH'S REVENUE,
MELBOURNE, January 4. Tho Federal revenue for tho past half-year was £6,034,683, there being an increase of £1,202,000. A GOOD SURPLUS. Mr Bent states that the half-year ended with a surplus of £260,000. He expecta the surplus at "the end of next year to amount to nearly a million. WALLACE DIVORCE CASE. The petitioner's costs in the Wallace divorce suit, amounted to over £1100. YACHTING FATALITY. A yacht capsized at Port Phillip, and two girls named Raisbeck and Williams were drowned. The other occupant, a youth named Slater, was rescued, after swimming a mile and a half.
