On being interviewed, Mr Shanaghan, Inspector ot the Auckland Labour Bureau, said that the past year had been highly satisfactory from every point of view." In almost every trade, there had been a steady demand, and in the building trade there existed wonderful activity. Referring to unskilled labour. Mr Shanaghan said the demand was far in excess of the supply, and throughout the year there had been a steady call on the labour market for all conditions of workers.
