CASUALTIES.
I . The infant son of Mr Peter Mclntoeh, Templeton. died suddenly on Monday morning. An inquest will be held. (fkxss association telegrams.) AUCKLAND, November 26. Edward Ormesby, two years of age, whose parents reside at Morrinßrille, fell into a water trough, and thence was washed into the river. His body was recovered some days later in a shallow pool. NAPIER, November 26. William RTekards, 11 years of age, was drowned thia afternoon by the oepsizing of a punt. WELLINGTON, November 26. A eingle man, named Nicholas Egaii, 28 years of age, was accidentally killed \ at Levin working in a railway ballaet pit. DUNEDIN, November 20. Captain McLay, master of the Hartley and Riley dredge, and one of the oldest dredgemaetere in Otago, was drowned at Cromwell this afternoon. Ho was going ashore- to take c shift on board, when "the ropo broke and the boat capsized or was swamped. McLay swam for Bomo distance, but he could not get ashore. He was 68 years of age.
