A TERRA NOVA MAN.
The aaibnaker on the Nimrod is Mr Morrison, who occupied a dmilar»position on the Terra Nova, when that vessel made her famous trip for the Jelief of the Discovery, and the Morn». ing in 1003. Mr Morrison wears thi bronee medal presented to members ot the relieving chip's crew, and it wai the occasion of! his being specially ad-< dressed by his Majesty during r the! Royal visit of inspection at Cowes. A hardy son of Scotland, with all the; characteristic reserve of his country/* men, Mr (Morrison is not the man to talk fluently about his own exploits.'; The call of the Antarctic haa come to hini'fcgain, and has found him ready and willing to respond. From him. a reporter gleaned that the .Discovery, after returning from the expedition, hud been cold to the Hudron'e BayCompany, and was actually berthed at London a day or two before the Xinirod left. The Terra Nova is now in American hands, and at* one time took part in. a relief expedition in connection with Commander Peary's dash for the Pole. Captain McKay, who was in command of the Terra Nova, has been whaling for some time. Before joining the Nimrod Mr Morrison had a "longshore job."
