LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Satukdat, November 23. MORNING SITTING. The Council met at 11 a.m. VARIOUS BILLS. The ATTORNEY-GENERAL moved the second reading of the Railways' Department Classification Bill. ' After I a brief discussion the motion was agreed to on the voices, ami the Bill was nut, through its Committee stages and _pe*sed. The Council, by 31 votes to 6, approved of tlio amendments made by the House in the Fire Brigade* Bill. The amendments made l>y the House to the Animals' Protection Bill were agreed to. The report of the Conference on the disagreement between the Council and the House over the amendments in tho Factories Act Amendment Bill was received, and a eomproraieo arrived at and ratified. The Ghrietchurcb District Drainage Bill was put through all its stage*.
