Tli© motion to go into Committee on the Gaming and Lotteries Act Amendment Bill vron discussed until the luncheon adjournment. AFTERNOON" SITTING. Tho House resumed at 2.30 p.m. CHINESE IMMIGRATION. An amendment to the Chines© Immigrants Restriction Act Amendment Bill was brought down by Governor's Message, altering tho date of th© coming into operation of tho Act from March, 100.., to t__re© months after tho da to of th© Royal assent being given to the Act. Tho PREMIER explained that this was in accordance with the constitution. Tho amendment was agreed to on the voices. THE GAMING BILL. Th© motion to go into Committee on th© Gaming and Lotteries Act Amendment Bill was agreed to on th© voices, and the Bill was under consideration when the Houso took tho dinner adjournment. EVENING~SITTING. The whole of th© evening sitting was devoted to consideration of tlio Gaming and Lotteries Act Amendment Bill in Committee. When the Telegraph Office closed at 2 a.m. tho Bill was still under discussion.
