CANTERBURY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
The monthly meeting of the Chamber of Commerce was held on Monday afternoon, Mr A. Kaye (president; in the chair. The Flour and Other .Products Monopolies Prevention Bill was under discussion, and it was avoided to forward copiee of the resolution passed at the annual meeting, bo the members of the Legislative Council. The resolution was as follows:— "Tnat in the interests of the agricultural community of Aon Zealand it ie very undesirable that the existing dutite ou wiieai ana rijur &liouid be interfered with in the direction oi any reduction/ The Florence Chamber of Commerce a-sk«i that price liot* of exporters and manuiaccurers be sent to them, as they are forming a library of such publications, to be indexed for ready reference by commercial men. Manufacturers and others are asked to forward price liste for this purpose. The President etateu that be had tele-graphed to the Minister for Railways conip.aining of the shortage of trucks at Lyttelton, and a repiy was received that the matter was being enquired into. The date of the quarterly meet was fixed for Wednesday, 27th inst.
