SIR LEWIS MORRIS.

[Tho lirto Sir Lewis Morris, who was knighted in 18 ( ,)5, was born in 1833, and educated at Coivbridgo, Sherborne, and Oxford (Jcsug), when he took a first in litiera huraaniores, and was chancellor's prizeman for English essay in 1858. Ho studied for the Bar. and practised chiefly as a conveyancing counsel. Ho ie known to fame Aβ a writer of verse, amongst his bestknown works being "Songs of Two Worlds, ,, "The Epic of Hadee," "The Ode oi Life," "Songs Unsung," and "A Vision oi iSainte." Ho nlso wrote ninny articles on literary and educational subjects.]
