It is understood that the Labour Party Committee recommended that a clause bo inserted in the Customs Tariff Bill next year providing a referendum on tho amended tariff. Tho House fixed tho duty on woollen piece goods at 30 per cent., preferential duty 2-5 per cent.; silk and velvet goods "0 per cent., preferential duty 15 per cent.
