There is a stronger feeling in regard to wheat, and holders are asking higher prices, but the actual business passing is limited, millers are witting till the duty question is absolutely settled, before making any further commitments. Sellers are asking 4s 6i and 4s 7d at country stations. The stocks of oats are gradually diminishing. The local consumption remains good, and a fair quantity is boin_ taken for seed. Tlie undermentioned are the prices paid to farmers at country stations, freo of commission, except where otherwise stated:— Wheat—ls Gd to 4s 7d (country stations). Oats (nominal). Barley (nominal). Peas (nominal)— Partridges, 4s 3d; Prussian Blues. 4s 3d to 4s 6d. Cowgrasft—Undressed. 7d to Bd. Whito Clover—Undreseod, 7d to Brl.
