WAIMATE.
The monthly meeting of the Hospital Trustees was heia on Wednesday. .Present— Mr J. Sinclair (-chairman), Messrs P .Studholnio, Walter, Atwill, Sniitho and Hart. During the past month thirty patients were treated, ol whom seventeen remained as inmates. There were also twenty out-patients. The \Yannate Borough Council's denutnd of £20 for water supply to the hospital was considered too high, and further enquiry will be made. It was resolved to write to the Postal Department enquiring whether the new regulation limiting the delivery of letters to a certain .distance from street lines will tako effect respecting Wainiate Public Hospital. Mr Hart, for the Visiting Committee, reported very favourably on the hospital for last month. Mr Sanders was thanked for a garden frame which he presented to the institution. Messrs Stu .holme and Smithe were appointed a Visiting Committee for next month. Mr J. Johnston. Otaio, thanked the surgeon and officials for attention given while he was an inmnt. of the hosnitnl. Accounts for £17j 13s 8d were pawed.
