ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT.
REMANDED ON BAIL. • D. C. Mclntyre, late Superintendent of Awards at the N.Z. Intern*tion*l Exhibition, in chargo of Chief Detective Mcllveney, arrived from Wellington by the Pateena at ten o'clock je6«terday. morning. Hβ was brought through to Chrietohuroh, and subsequently appealed before Mr 11. W, Bishop, S.M.. On being brought into Court it was seen that Mclatyro felt his position keenly. Ho did not raise hie eyes when placed in the dock. Ho eppeared to be in excellent health, anu somewhat stouter than formerly, although t his beard and hair have turned mark- ■ edly more grey. Mclntyre was convoyed most unostentatiously from tho Police Station to the Court, end not oven the customary court loungers appeared to be aware tlmt be would bo charged yesterday, as, sayo for tho officials and a brace of solicitors, there was nobody present. •»
