LONDON WOOL SALES.
(Received July. 25th, 9.18 p.m.) LONDON, July 25. Tne wool stild to Home buyers waa 82,000 bales, to the Continent 55,000 bales, to America 5000 boles; held ovei 24,000 bales, including 19.500 bales oi New Zealand. Compared with May closing rates best merinos, suitable for tho American trade, wero fully 5 per cent, dearer, and average sorts slightly in sellers' favour, dhort faulty, especially scoureds. were a halfpenny to a penny lower. Good greasy crossbreds were firm and unchanged. Shabby, faulty sorts declined 5 to 10 per cent. Of slipes there was o superabundant supply. Finest coarsest declined a halfpenny to a penny, medium ono penny. Lamb, best merinos, were unchanged; faulty merinos and New Zealand crossbred} declined halfpenny to a penny. He average price realised for the fleece portions of the undermentioned clips were:—Ngakonui 113 d, Homewood Ud, Moeraki 12Jd, Awhea lljd, *W.D. 10Sd. The sales closed firm at full rates.
