RANGIORA.
The improvement reported from abroad hns exercised a hardening effect on the Rangiora market, and wheat that was difficult to sell at 4s a bushel, now commands 4s 3d. But in the absence of offerings business is restricted. Oats arc, if anything, firmer, end prime lines have been sold at 3s per bushel, and a firm market is looked for throughout the season. Oatsheaf chaff continues to receive a strong enquiry, and 83s per ton is freely given for *prirn° quality. Grass seeds are not being offered, bu*. the demand for machine dressed is now setting in, and it is likely to be extensively enquired for in the ensuing three months. The demand for potatoes hns somewhat improved, especially for seed sizes for the North Island, which now command up to £4 per ton. Table size potatoes and Derwents may bo quoted at £3 10s, and other varieties £3 os. Peas and beans are without quotable change, which remark also applies to clover seeds.
