Sir Robert Bond remarked that the union of Newfoundland and was at presomt neither desirable nor within the sphere of practical politics. Bad tho precis of the Imperial Conference been more adequate, what occurred thereat in relation to Newfoundland; would not have been misrepresented in the Press. He regretted the Blue Boolwithheld the Conference's discussion following his statement, on the ground that it was private.
