CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB.
At the usual monthly committeo meeting of he Canterbury Jockey Chib held on Tuesday, tho following programmes wore approved: Laite Tekapo Races, Marlborough R.C., Albury K.C., Havelock Hack R.C., South Canterbury ; J.C., Rakaia Sports, and Kaikoura R.C. The ! wcstland Racing Club notified the disqualification of Bowman and Immolation, on pro- , tests lodged by tho owners of the second horses on the ground that the rule relative to the registration of partnerships had not been complied with. The disqualifications ■ were endorsed. Gentlemen riders' certificates I were granted Messrs J. W. Freeman. A. Hudut?"' ¥• Maskoll > E - 8 - Rutherford, and G. !£• Wood. A trainer's lioense was issued to T. H. Gillett, and jockeys' licenses to C. I Stratford. W. F. Gillett, L. Kemp, W. Porter ! and R. B. Webb. N. N. Campbell's application was refused, and TV. Hutchison's lioense i was withdrawn. Tho transfer from R. Goose--1 man to J. Armstrong of the three-year-old b f by Waiuku—Escalade waa approved. It waa decided to open the course an hour earlier during September.
