THE VERDICT.

At 11.45 p.m. the jury ■returned with a verdict of "Guilty" against both accused. Mr Myers said he did not think it would •be necessary to go on with the other indictments,. if his Honour concurred. * i His Honour said he would have left it to Mr Myers's discretion,, but he did not think there was any necessity to go on wifh the other indictments. Mr Myers said he would . ask the Solicitor-General to enter a stay of proceedings. Tho prisoners were then remanded in custody until ten o'clock this morning, his Honour stating that in the meantime he would consider what should be done.
