WELLINGTON, May 18
The Premier has cabled to the ActinsPremier from Sydney as follows:—"I have ascertained that there is good and gradually increasing demand for raw material in. Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong. Manila, and Java. The chief commodities are wool, hides, tallow, leather, frozen meat, especially beef, tinned meats, rabbit skins, flax, tow, butter, chwse, stud horses, cattle, flour, wheat, kauri, and other timbers. Before leaving I "anticipate having an offer for the forfnightiy Kew Zealand service with the place I have mentioned.—R. J. Seddon."
