I PARISH MEETINGS.
ST. JOHN'S, RANGIORA. Tho parishioners of St. John's Church, Rangiora, hold their annual mooting on \veduc<3clay evening. About sixty attended, and tne \ icar, tile Key. k\ P. i'endali, presided. In tho Sunday scnool good work wu being done, but the roll number left something to bo desired. Tbeychoir * was deceiving ot thanks for carrying on under difficulties. Good worK hait • been done by the Parochial Guild, lie regretted that the attendance of tho male members waa not what it migtit be. The balance-sheet showed the re* oeipto on the general account to Have been £344 17s sd, tho chief -amounts being offertories £172 6s AOU, miaeioni ' £3o i)s lid, and concert* £22 7* Cd. The expenditure wan £334 os lid, including stipend £i;3O, orgAnist £29 las 4d, missions £35 9s lid, and water Bervioo for tlie vicarage £20. The deo»t balance of £U 8s Od was rdduoed by a special subscription to £3 8s 6d utter the accounta were made .up. The school account receipts wero *fciß rent, and expenditure £30 16s 3d. Tho country accouifthad a credit balance of £102 16s od, and the Dudley Memorial Fund a credit of £2 lis 3d t £52 10s 2d having been expended on a memorial pulpit. The Vicar re-nominated Mr ii. \V. Relph as his Warden, and Mr K. 11. Good was appointed Parishioners Warden. Messrs It H. Walker, 0. A. Cunningham, J. Pearce, W. Hamilton, Jamea JJaker, D. Mehrtens, jup., -w. \Y. Jones, W. Jordan, and J. Goldin_ wero elected and Mr M. Amy auditor. It was resolved that it bo a recommendation to the General Synod that ladies should be given a ; vote at tho parish meetings, and bo i eligiblo for scab-, on the Vestry "otas i of thanks wore passed to the retiring i Vwtry, the Sunday school teacher 6, choir, and to the Vicar for the faithful way in whicli he had uncharged 04 : duties.
