WEST CHRISTCHURCH DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.
Tho last meeting of tho Committee wai> held on Wednesday evening, 11th Present—Measre C. D. Morris (chairman), J. H. Jones, S. McMurr.ay, (I. T. CtiisiKill, W. JJoh-on, and Di\ Chilton. Mr H. G. Denham, M.A., science master in the secondary departman'r, forwarded his resignation, to take effect at the end of July, which w«k accepted by the Committuo with regret. It was agreed to recommend Mi.>s Myxui Dolxson to the Board for appointment as pupil teacher. The science master supplied a list of chemicals and articles necessary for carrying on tho science work ot the secondary* department, which it wa.s agreed should b.> forwarded to the Board. It was agreed, in answer to a letter from the School Commit toes' Association, to thiat as the Board was endeavouring to deal with tho question of sitting and deck accommodation, it was hardly nocec-sary to submit their resolution to the meeting of houe-eholders. A vote- of thanks to the chairman for the attention he has given to the bueiness of the Committee concluded tho meeting.
