The South African Customs Conference, sitting in Natal, is expected to agree to a moderately increased protective tariff, giving each colony the right to impose special duties within Hβ, ow:n borders. Tbo representatives of the group of goldmining companies controlled by Mr J. B. Robinson- have resigned , their membership of the Chamber of Mince at Johannesburg.
