TRADE DISPUTES BILL

DEPUTATION TO MR GLADSTONE.

(Received March 15th, 12.20 a.m.) LONDON, March 14. Sir H. Gampbell-Bannenaan declined to appoint a committee to consider tho question of the revival of the franking of members' correspondence. Mr Herbert Gledstono informed a deputation of employers that the I'arliaxnexriary Committee eet up to coneider on tho forthcoming Trades Disputes Bill intended to give all reasonable protection to everybody in' -the execution of lawful business. He ad- , mitted that opinion on picketting differed, but he hoped and believed tljat. strikes and" lock-outs would ultimately become obsolete. Hβ did not forget that there were other interests beside those of labour to be considered. The Government would view the whole question from the standpoint of public policy.
