THE AUSTRAL WHEEL RACE. United Press Aeaocintion— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 18th, 0.50 a.m.) MELBOURNE, December 17. The Austral Wheel Race resulted:— Sandberg 1, Megisan 2, Fregon 3. Time, 4min 24 2-oth ccc. Levey was first pact tho poet by a length, but Sajidberg protested that Levey ran him *ip the bank and Levey was disqualified. He gave notice of appeal. Sandberg caught the field in a lap and a half. The pace was slow rntil the last four laps. When the bell went for tho last lap Vickery and Fregon were in front, with Sandberg in a good position, and Megson last. In tho straight Levey and Sandberg shot out, tho former leading past the post.
