CHILDREN'S AID FANCY FAIR

The fancy fair in aid of the Home for Destitute Children will be opened in the Canterbury Hall to-day at 3 p.m. by Lady Plunket, and will be continued in the evening and to-morrow and Saturday; a large number of articles both useful and ornamental will be found on. the various stalls. This afternoon th© doors will open at 2.45 p.m., and a programme of instrumental music will be given by Mias Scrivener's orchestra, Mr Melitus, and the Misses Mclntyre. In th© evening, when tho doors will be open at seven o'clock, an excellent programme will be given, consisting of pip© music by th© Caledonian Society's pipers, maypole dance by th© Waltham School children, sword dance by Master Kinloch Campbell, step danco by the Misses Burns, Scotch reel by Misses Jean Campbell and Rita Glover, and Masters Kinloch and lan Campbell. In addition, Mr Tankard's men's class will give an exhibition of dumb-bell exercises.
