QUEEN VICTORIA'S STATUE. Tho iron fence round the has© of th© Queen Victoria Statuo was hung with green garlands, and several wreaths were tleposited there yesterday, both in memory of her late Majesty and of the fallen troopers. Mr Bcllhonee, on behalf of tho Navy League, deposited a wreath with tho inscription: "Navy League, Canterbury Branch. In memory of Victoria the Good." There was a wreath of beautiful white flowers and maiden-hair from the Canterbury War Fund Committee. Wreaths wero also inscribed with the names of Mr and Mrs C. Hood-Williams (to the fallen New Zealanders), Mrs Wigram, Miss Staveley, Miss L. Clarke, and Mrs Mathias. There wcro several wreaths without inscriptions. * Among the floral tributes was one from tho " Blue Jumper" volunteers.
