LONDON MARKET REPORTS.

Our London correspondent, writing on January 21st, says:—The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report, that there is very little demand for cocksfoot, and with large stocks on hand and America offering freely, prices havo a downward tendency. Eighteen-pound bright seed is quoted at 61s, 171b bright seed at 40s 6d, 161b medium seed at 48s per cwt., ex warehouse. . There is a fair demand for oats at about late rates. There is a very dull market for beam, English _. offering at low. prices. - Blue peas- are difficult of sale,- hxxtr Partridge peas are a little more in demand, owing to Home-grown not being so freely offered as of late, so those from New Zealand are now quoted at 80s to 3&s per 5041b. -Messrs Weddei and Co. state that there are no cargoes of New Zealand wheat offering; ex store parcels recently arriving have shown good quality, and for these very fair, prices have been obtained; Longberry m quoted at 33s to 84s, shortberry at 31s 9d to 82s 9d per 4961b. There has been a little more enquiry for spot parcels of New Zealand oats, but for arrival buyers show little interest. Good Canterbury Canadians are quoted at 21s to 225, Sparrowbills and Carton's at 19s to 21s 6d per 3841b, and Danish at 16a to 17s per 3201b. Only one or two parcels of New Zealand beans are now offering on the market, but for these there is little or no demand, and quotations are nominal. According to tho report of the N.M. and Agency Company, supplies of Australasian wheat on tho spot are small, and prices are well maintained. Oats are steady at about previous rates for New Zealand descriptions. Cocksfoot meets with only little demand, and prices tend lower It is stated by Messrs Gordon, Woodroffo and Co. that a small parcel of Now Zealand barley for malting was recently sold at 25s 6d, but most of the New Zealand barley here is black-ended,- and only fit for chicken food, and worth about 245. There is still no linseed here. Supplies of New Zealand oats are not heavy, but there is only a retail demand, and English oats still control the market.
