WIRTH'S CIRCUS.
Tho «ea_on of Wirth Bros.' circus I opens on tho location next to Cooper and Duncan'B, Colombo street, on Wednesday evening. A. number of very strong attractions have been added in 1 all departments since tho circus waa I last here. Ono of the most notable-of j these is the leaping tho loop by Chefalo. Mounted on a bicyolo Chefalo dashes down a forty-feet long incline as steep as a flight of stairs, and at tho end is j thrown over a chasm of fifty foot on! to another incline. In another act 1 Chefalo, mounted on an ordinary bicycle, shoots away from-mid-air into a loop twenty-five feet high. As ho enters the loop, and is well in tho curve on his journey, tbe front wheel of tho machine at a certain spot—for loss of j time ia a matter of death—-releases the I bottom part of the structure, and ere he is thrown round the other end of it. j joins with tho pomanent structure, and f bo conduct* him to the ground. There are other notable acts in equestrianism, etc. The first matinee performance will be on Thursday afternoon.
