In a few instances formers hare decided to let their holdings go and sales hare been effected without difficulty at quoted ratee. There is nothing in the present local market to warrant any higher prices being looked for. A large area ii being prepared for spring wheat, and in anticipation of better' price-s, and, provided the weatiier ie favourable, there elioald be a large harvest in this district. To-day'* values are: —-Tuscan and velvet 3s Id, Hunter's 2* lid. whole fowl wheat 2a 6d to 2s Bd.
Oat«—There- lias been an easier feeling owing to tlte falling off in coaetal shipment*, and eome farmers who have held on till the last niinuu» are beginning to feel uneasy and eeem anxious to of their surplus ttocks. Prices are Id lower on tin* week -for feed varieties. " Quotations aix?:— Canadians (milling) 1» 6d to Is 7d, short feed Is 5d to Is 6d, long feed Iβ 4id.
Oatsheaf Chaff—.Same remarks apply a* given above in reference to the oat market. Supplies coming on the market have been htavkr than for some time part, 56s to 57« 6d being top prices available to-day for prime quality on trucks.
