ROAD BOARDS.

MOUNT HUTT. The Mount Hutt Road Board met on August - Ist. Present—Messrs Morgan (in the chair), Murray, and Orr. It was decided to aek Mr Millton to represent tltf ißoard at the meeting of delegates to form a Road Boards' Association in A&bburton on tfye 6th inst. A letter from the ActingMrmster.of Public Works that a grant could not be mode towards making a new cutting to the Ralcaia Gorge bridge was received,. together with a letter from Mr C. A. O. Hardy, M.H.R., on the same matter. It was decided to call for tenders for forming about one. and a half miles T>f ■ road adjoining Mewns Dolverty and Vaughnn's land at Higbbank. ' The clerk was instructed to report on the River road, Highbank, and to get some small repairs put in hand at once. The Chairman and Clerk were appointed to arrange tSto work for the road grader. Accounts amounting to £21 14s 8d were paraed for payment.
