The Eyreton Road'Board met on August Ist. Present—'Messrs James Wright (chairman), Burgin, Dixon, Evane, and Skevington. The Commissioner of Taxes wrote stating that a voucher had been forwarded to the Treasury for the payment of £79 12s Bd, balance of subsidy on rates for the year ending March 31st, 1904. The Paymaster-General wrote stating that £72 7s 8d of the above had been paid to the Board's, credit at the Bank of New Zealand, ikaiapoi. September 28th, 1904. Also that a rate of 2-64d be levied on the rateable property of the South Wpimakariri •River Board district. The resolution was carried. The surveyor was directed to invite tenders for a concrete arch_ to the bridge on White's, road over the Ohoka Creek. Account* amounting to £595 18a 8d were passed for payment.
