A NON-STOP RUN.

Mr F. W. Stocks, by his recent nonstop run from London to Edinburgh, has again demonstrated what a useful and reliable machine the motor-car has now developed into. But, plucky and convncing as the feat is, says the "Westminster Budget," it was surpassed, an point of distance at least, last year, by Mr George and Mr William dv Cros, who drove their cars all the way from London to Inverness, a distance m just under 600 miles, without the engines stopping for a moment. In this case the average speed was 15$ miles an hour, or, approximately, three-quarters of a mile less than -Mr Stocks's average rate of travelling. Among other notable non-stop records are Mr Moffat Ford's Edinburgh to London, in 1902: Captain Deasy's run from Glasgow, via Edinburgh, to London last year; Mr Bowen's London to Bouthport, at an average speed of twenty -one miles an hour; and a run of a 1000 miles at the Crystal Palace in ISOO, at an average speed of 20 2-3 rd miles an hour.'
