truss association telegram.) PALMERSTOX N.. April 22. A married woman named Margaret Beck was brutally assaulted by a man at Longburn on Wednesday night. The assailant entered the house at a late honr by a door left open for tlie woman's husband, employed on nightshirt at the freezing works. He entered Mrs Beck's room, and, on being ordered off the premises, struck her a savage blow on the face. Tlie woman fell heavily to the floor, and broke her arm. Tlie "man made off, and the police are now scouring the country for him.
