(PHESS ASSOCIATION' TELEGRAM ) *♦ TOM-DING, November 26. At the Wcaleyan Synotl, the Rev. A. C. of Feilding, was elected as district representative to the Conference. BUNEDIN, November 26. At the Methodist Synod, the Rev. Sinclair wos elected to represent the Synod at the Auckland Conference. It was resolved that the. Synod, while expressing pleasure at the advance made in the no-license cause, especially in Otago, being aware of the need of earnest combined efforts in this reform movement, regrets the failure of the Government to pass into law the Regulations of Local Elections Amendment Act, to provide for tho prevention of the declared will of the people at the ballot box being upset by mere technical irregularities, ard trusts the Bill will be re-introdooed next eeasion. The Rev. A. N. Walter, after eucoessful probation, wa.s unanimously recommended to the Conference for ordination. Two candidates for tlie ministry, Jlesers D. H. Fawoett and K. O. Blamires, after ex»rJnation, were recommended to the Conference for reception.
