THE PRICE OF COAL.

CABLFj, NEWS.

DISPUTE IN NEW SOUTH WALES’

United Press Association—.By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.

SYDNEY', September 15,

The Northern miners will resist any reduction in the selling price of coal, considering that it is unjustified. There is now pending a case in the Arbitration Court as to whether the proprietors are justified in reducing the price to 10s. Pending the decision of the Court no action will ho taken, but in the meantime the Miners’ Executive is considering the offer of the Newcastle and Wallsend Company to maintain the existing price and conditions for another year. They are hopeful that other companies will do likewise.
