Store sheep were again in good demand, fat lambs and beef sold at late rates, and the fat sheep market shoved a further advance. Pigs met with a dull sale, especially for stores. . STORE SHEEP. In the store sheep pens theire was an entry of 6900 head, a large proportion of the consignments being from tii« North and Chatham Islands. Ewes farmed the principal portion of the entry, and for these there was again a good enquiry, but, wethers did not tell quite so well as last week, while lambs showed practically no alteration in values. The sale was a Rood ono throughout, and only two or three lots failed to change bauds at auction. There was a fairly large yarding of fat sheep, and a better proportion of wether* than at late sales. There were also a f<:-w copsignraents of merino wethers. There was keen competition for all classes «f freezing sheep, both ewes and wet Iter*. Butchers' ewes sold somewhat irregularly, with a hardening tendency towards tlie close of the sale.
