LAND SALES.

Messrs Pyne and Co. recently made the following ealee of land: —On account Messrs H. Wharton and Co, the Highfield estate of 57,600 acres, as follows: 32,600 acres to the New Zealand Government, 16,000 acres, to Mesers F. and J. Northcote, 9000 acree to Mr Henry Wliarton. On account Mr D. iirock (Ashley), his farm of 67 acres at Ashley, to Mr E. Button, at £9 10s per acre. On accftunt of tiie Trustees of the late Mr Edward Jollie, the farm of 128 acres at Southbridge, to Mr Jno. Wickcliffe, at £32 10s per acre. On account Mr F. Courage they offered Seadown Estate, of 5468 acres, and although it was not all cleared at auction, it ie expected that the unsold portions will be cold in a few days. The sales made at auction were: 254 acres to Mr H. McLean, £9 10s per acre, and 345 acree to« the earn© purchaser at £9 per acre; 140 acree to Mr R. Dobaon, at £6 per acre; 369 acree to Mr W. H. Hale, at £6 per acre.
