Sir, —During tlie last tAvo months I have been Avatchang Church papers and profane papers (yours, sir), and asking people whom I thought would be likely to know, to find out what Arere the reasons for Mr Bourne's retirement from Christ's College- I Avould haA-e Avritten you before, enly there was a feeling that the position was "in a way protected, and not public. Now, hoArever, your correspondent 'M." writes, and I hope, instead of all the irritating guarded replies, meaning something or nothing, to see a statement on the matter which will satisfy a Briton Avho loves— FAIR PLAY.
