Practically tne who'.e of the legal profes-! son of Christchurch took part in these giiuie.s at Hagley Park yesterday, most as players, the reel" as spectators. Kuxeli, President of the Canterhury Law Society, took the chair at the lunch, and Mrs Russell, assisted by a stall' of young ladles, took charge of tea. 'lheiv was a large public attendance, and everything passed tiff" uinst successfully. Mr M. Nalder, organiser of the matches, wai congratulated on all sides, aid the fixture will probab'y be annual.
