TENDERS FOR ELECTRICAL PLANT.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir ( _As his Worship the Mayor hae published our letter, perhaps he. will condescend to publish all the correspondence on tlie matter.
He (the Mayor), in his reply of to-day's issue, does not in any way disprove our statement of the 16th inst., and which we again repeat, that we asked for no permission to amend our tender.
The letter quoted in his reply was written in response to tho Council's telephone enquiry as to whether our tender included duty or not. Even assuming, wliich is not correct, that we did ask permis* ion to amend our tender, the Mayor's etatement that, we were the first to ask for an amendment of tender can only be settled by publication of the whole of the correspondence as requested. In fairness this cannot now be denied. —Yours, etc., SCOTT AND BROWN. Cliristohurch, March 17th.
